T1 interface for T1 over IP Voice and Data
IP•Tube T1 encapsulates full and fractional T1 and TDM
circuits, along with their framing and signaling bits, into
IP packets. The IP•Tube’s T1 Over IP, T1 Over Ethernet
connection provides for the transparent interconnection of PBXs,
Telecom Switches and T1 based communication systems via LANs,
WANs, MANs, and Wireless Ethernet.
T1 transparent operation maintains the proprietary signaling
required to support PBX features such as call conferencing,
call forwarding, caller ID and SS7. Legacy phone equipment investment
is preserved. Transparent support for Modem, Fax, or Data circuits.
The IP•Tube T1 has a T1 interface that connects directly
to the T1/DS1 interface of Phone Systems or T1 Data Communication
Data Compression Option
IP•Tube T1C detects idle/redundant data within each DS0
resulting in as much as 56 to 1 bandwidth savings. T1 over IP
bandwidth is not consumed by silent or redundant circuits. Management
of the IP•Tube T1 is accomplished with a Command Line
Interface that is accessed through a Console or Telnet connection.
Common templates provide for cut and Paste configuration.
Quality Packet Prioritizing
The IP•Tube T1 uses the Type of Service byte in the IP packets
to prioritize the encapsulated T1 frames. The setting of the TOS
byte can be used to ensure that the real time TDM data from the
IP•Tube T1 is ensured high priority.
At any time, the T1 port on the IP•Tube T1 can be upgraded
to Lossless Data Compression with a simple software-based license
key installation. If upon installation, you determine that your
IP•Tube T1 is best deployed with Lossless Data Compression,
you're still in business with the port field compression upgrade!
The IP-Tube family is ready for your most demanding central office
or data center environments. With the Rack Mount Kit, IP•Tube
products are easily installed in 19" and 23" racks. Easy
access to both front and rear sides facilitates technician maintenance
